Where do I go for answers?

How much life insurance do I need?  What is the best type of life insurance to have? How do I know what company to buy from?  With all of the information available, it can be difficult to know the answer to these questions.

How much do I need?  Many people have heard ridiculous generic formulas that always result in seven to ten times their annual salary as a figure for how much life insurance they should carry.  This is absolutely false, each individual is different.  For example, if we have two 35 year old married couples; one with no children and no mortgage and one with four children and a $350,000 mortgage - do they both need seven times their annual salary?  No, they are both very different!  Contact us today for a complete evaluation of your needs.  We treat everyone as individuals and you can rest assured that we can help you determine the amount that you really need.  We also have specialized computer software to assist us in verifying the correct answers concerning the amount of coverage needed.

What is the best kind of life insurance to have?  We hear this question daily and the answer is simple if you can tell us the date that you plan to die!  Of course you can't tell us that because we never know the answer to that question.  What we can know are your goals and individual needs concerning your life insurance.  If you are only interested in covering a mortgage or to provide a college fund for your children - term insurance may be fine for you.  If you want coverage that you can buy today and never worry about again no matter how long you live then whole life or universal life would be a better option for you.  If your concerns cover both of these areas then two separate policies may work nicely for you.  After all, who says all of your coverge has to be in one policy and only one type of insurance.  Generally, it is best to own some of both term and permanent insurance.

I've had some health problems, can I still get coverge?  Yes, generally speaking - we can get some type of coverage for almost anyone.  Certain conditions (emphysema, heart disease, end stage renal failure, recent organ transplants, etc) can make it difficult or impossible to get coverage.  Keep in mind that if you do have a lot of health problems and we can find you coverage - it may not be cheap (after all, the higher the risk, the higher the price).

What is the best company to do business with?  Again, this can only be determined after knowing your goals, needs, type of insurance and amount of coverage you need.  We have over 60 companies to place business with and can make a solid recommendation only after determining your individual needs and goals.  No one company has all of the answers.  You have heard the quote "You cannot be all things to all people" - it holds true with life insurance also.  Our company recommendations will vary based upon your specific case requirements.

What about all of these really low prices I see on television?   Television advertisements only show you rates for ten year term and only show you the preferred best non-smoker premiums.  Some people can get these rates.  Many can't; something as simple as two speeding tickets in the last seven years or a family history of cancer or heart disease can make that rate impossible to get.  We can tell you with amazing accuracy what rates to expect.
